Calling all Chickadees

Thank you to all our resident chickadees (and the occasional nuthatch) for showing up to the photo shoots the past few days. Our year round birds include chickadees, nuthatches, titmice, woodpeckers, cardinals, juncos, and sparrows. When it's time to introduce a new product the chickadees (and an occasional nuthatch) always answer the call. Best time is the morning between 7-9am. With a fresh coat of snow on the ground and a 7° temperature today's photos will not relay the message of Spring. However they will show scale, use, and function. For the feeders it's immediate gratification for both birds and humans. For the birdhouses it's a matter of patience. Later this Spring our first nester will arrive, build a nest and lay some eggs. Then after an incubation period we will welcome more resident birds to our part of the world.
