J SCHATZ RELOCATES TO BOOTHBAY HARBOR, MAINE

BOOTHBAY HARBOR, ME — We are happy to announce that we have found a new home in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. It is on a beautiful property called Powder Hill Farm that has a large barn that we are transforming into our studio. 

All of this is situated in a mature wooded landscape overlooking a pond with our feeders and houses placed throughout. We are grateful and humble to be the caretakers of this stunning place and wake up each morning happy to have a list of garden chores in addition to our studio duties.

As of Monday, May 4th our customer service and shipping department is operational. We are still 2-3 months out from completing the setup of our studio, which involves transforming the barn we now call our studio into a year round workspace. Until that time we will ship the inventory that we have in stock and take backorders for out of stock items.

Changes to J Schatz
In order to maintain a sustainable operation we made some changes to our business. We are now the exclusive and only source for our products. Each piece that we make is a work of art reflecting the design, high standards, and effort that make us proud and tired at the end of each day.

The process of finding this new location and the six months it took us to find it became a reckoning for us. It allowed us to focus on what we find to be true and heart-felt. What we value and how things move us. Nature is a part of our DNA and connecting back to it in such a real and visceral way is something that will always be a source of inspiration that we respect, take care of, and nurture. Just like our relationship to each other in this life. Never again should anything be taken for granted.

We encourage you to visit and tour our studio and property. You will find our bird feeders and houses gracing the landscape with all sorts of bird activity and a studio in a barn that overlooks a pond.

It's a dream come true and we would like to share the inspiration we find here with you. Whether in person on a studio tour or direct from the box that contains a little bit of the wonder we make.

 only.

Visitors will be able to see the handcrafted production process and view our work in the beautiful landscape of Powder Hill Farm.
