Geometria Brick Lamps
BY JIM SCHATZ
A compact table lamp built on a single glazed stoneware brick. Each base carries one Geometria composition, finished by hand at the Detroit studio: a blue-grey disc set into a rust field on Lamp 1, a rust quarter arc sweeping across grey on Lamp 2. A 2½" brass stem lifts an 8" fabric shade, and a fully dimmable brass socket and switch take the light from a low glow to full.
Two are available, each one of a kind.
The Geometria vocabulary runs through the studio's work, from the Geometria Table Lamps to the Geometria Tile Murals.
