J Schatz Studio makes ceramic lighting, objects, and outdoor work from its studio in metro Detroit. The pieces hold two registers at once — glossy, exact, and bright on one side; quieter and earthbound on the other. Each design is produced in a limited annual edition, built and finished by hand, and numbered and dated in the studio.
